Something Everyone Can Agree On

In these times of polarizing ideas about democracy and what it means and needs to succeed, we need to find ideas that … everyone can agree on.

Building a Culture of Caring

Grace is both a secular and a spiritual quality. We need to be gracious to each other in our daily lives despite our many differences. And we need to find grace within ourselves in order to stand for the ideas and ideals we cherish.

America has long stood for Justice, Equality, Personal Freedom, and Balance among people’s different beliefs. There is no doubt that we and our nation have fallen from Grace. Just look at our community divisions, our internal politics, and our relations with our neighbors. We need to find the way to overcome these divisions, find common ground, and stand with each other instead of against one another.

For our Democracy to survive, we have to build a culture of caring – for each other, for those we disagree with, and especially for those among us who are less fortunate than ourselves.

Simply put: We need to Make America Gracious Again.

Our Story

Community Activism

Garrick Beck, the creator of these hats, has been active in community building all his life. He has been instrumental in the organic farming movement; in community gardening – and especially in children’s gardening education. He has been an early proponent of – and advocate for – alternative energies. He has been a central figure in the creation of numerous progressive cultural events such as the Amsterdam Cannabis Cup, The Oregon Country Fair, and The Rainbow Gatherings. His early experiences in avant-garde Off-Broadway theatre have given him some understanding about how ideas help create new realities.

Now he is turning his attention to America’s dilemma: How to find a way forward in these divisive times. He hopes these hats can express an idea that can help unite America’s people.
